9/12/2013 Verizon Wireless Amphitheater St. Louis, MO. – I have been photographing the band Greek Fire since the Fall of 2010. The band, is comprised of Moon (Phil Sneed), Ryan Phillips, (both members of Story of the Year), Mark Joseph Roth, and Johnny Venus. This being the 14th performance I’ve shot, there is nothing ever predictable, or usual when they take the stage. On this day, opening for perhaps the 2013 Band of the Year Imagine Dragons, before a sold out crowd, 30 minutes of their 50 minute set took place not on stage, but throughout multiple amphitheater seating areas. Moon is a dynamic frontman (understatement), and it was apparent he wanted everyone to have a front row seat, even if just for a moment. These guys don’t approach an opening slot as time fill. It’s their moment, it’s their show, it’s their venue to own, and once again, they showed why they are the best thing that has emerged from the St. Louis rock scene in a long long time. Photos below.

A couple days earlier, I had fun with the band shooting their latest press release shots.
